The i360 is actually designed to operate when it’s windy and has state of the art dampers, which ensure that in even windy conditions, the ride is smooth and comfy.

If we do have to shut, we’ll offer a refund or the chance to ride at a different time. Often people will be able to return later in the day because the weather often improves in the space of a few hours on the seafront so the average closure will likely be for a few hours rather than a whole day – and obviously we’ll always do our best to minimise disruption.

The windiest month is usually January, when we’ll close for business anyway for 10 days while the tower has its yearly maintenance.
