Going Above and Beyond…

20170518_130058I grew up in… Adelfia, a small town in the South of Italy, surrounded by grape fields and olive trees.

I have worked at British Airways i360 since… November 2016, one month after my arrival in UK. The British Airways i360 team welcomed me as part of the family from day one.

The best part of my working day is… in the evening when I go on the pod. Being above the city and looking at the sea, the sunset or the city lights always fascinates me.

My best day at work was… when Alexa, an 8 year old Hungarian girl with a disability, was scared in the pod and I helped her by taking her hand and walking around. Three months later, I saw her outside the shop and she recognised me.

As a child I wanted to be… a police officer, because helping and protecting others makes me feel happy.

Outside work, my hobbies are… I am a musician, my colleagues love when I sing Puccini’s Nessun Dorma in the pod.

My favourite place in Brighton is… British Airways i360. I even come to this part of the beach with my dog Penny on my day off. Penny likes to get cuddles from all the British Airways i360 family.

Winning the Above and Beyond award was… unexpected. Now I feel that my smiles count, my effort is worthwhile, and I always ensure I do my best, not for another award, but to feel satisfied.

I’m proud to work at British Airways i360 because… it’s a place where people from all over the world come to “walk on air”. I see them all the time getting lost staring at the sea, at the city. A place that makes people dream is the perfect place for a dreamer like me to work.
