The vertical cable car

Take a voyage to the skies on the world’s tallest moving observation tower, designed by the London Eye architects. British Airways i360 will be an experience like no other, offering unrivaled 26 mile views of the south coast.

During your voyage to the skies, you will glide up slowly to 450 feet in a futuristic glass viewing pod , and you will enjoy breathtaking 360 degree views for up to 26 miles.

Brighton has amazing panoramas that have yet to be discovered: miles and miles of bright blue sea; the tiny labyrinthine streets of the Lanes; the grand Regency architecture; the dramatic chalk cliffs; the wild expanses of the South Downs National Park and the UNESCO World Biosphere. No other landscape is so varied and unique.

The fully enclosed aerodynamically shaped futuristic glass viewing pod is spacious – 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule with room for up to 200 visitors to stand at the edge of pod and look out. There is plenty of space to move around and see the view from different angles.

The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure all-year-round comfort. It is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there is bench seating and a Nyetimber Sky Bar.

The British Airways i360 pod hosts the Nyetimber Sky Bar, the most unique bar in the UK. Enjoy a glass of Nyetimber, England’s finest sparkling wine, while taking in the stunning views.

The Sky Bar will host a calendar of events such as dating nights, and live music and performances.

A free multi-lingual app will be available to you before you board. A host will welcome visitors, point out sights and answer your questions.

The app has ‘pre-flight’ information where you’ll find out about the construction of British Airways i360, as well as an in-pod app to help you identify all the different landmarks. All of this in a choice of different languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin.

A kids’ section of the app includes a fun treasure hunt and fascinating facts; and during the school holidays there will be family events and queue entertainment. We also have a souvenir photo opportunity.

At the end of your flight, visitors descend to our beach building on the lower promenade where you can dine; celebrate; purchase a souvenir or photo; explore our exhibition; or play in our kids play zone (opening 2017).

There is so much to enjoy at British Airways i360 that we expect your visit to last around one hour (or longer if you are dining or using the play zone). This includes a security checks, pre-flight experience, the flight on the vertical cable car and visiting our shop.
