8 Wonderfully Festive Activities to do this Christmas in Brighton
The vibrant city of Brighton is well known as a buzzing summer hot-spot, but there are lots of fun and family friendly activities to do in the city at Christmas. Brighton Christmas Day Swim
Only for the brave, this annual swim takes place at 11am each Christmas Day on Brighton beach. Locals plunge into the chilly waters in an array of Santa costumes, their swimmers and not much else! It’s certainly one way to work up an appetite for your Christmas roast!
Brighton Christmas Festival and Market
December 2021 marks the first year for this hotly anticipated Brighton Christmas Festival & Market. With over 150 festive stools including plenty of local and i360 favourites, the market will run from the Old Steine to Valley Gardens and will include entertainment and a Santa’s workshop. Fly With Santa
Escape to the skies above the City of Brighton with Santa this Christmas at British Airways i360. This magical experience includes a flight on the BA i360 Pod & photo with Santa. Once at 450ft you’ll be greeted by Santa and his Jolly Elves who will hand you an early Christmas present. After your flight, you can take a seat in their beachside restaurant or café bar for a meal or hot drink.

Ice Rink at the Pavilion
Skating at the Royal Pavilion is a Christmas tradition for most Brightonians. What could be more romantic than wrapping up in your winter finiary, grabbing a mulled wine and skating under the backdrop of the iconic Royal Pavilion? Glyndebourne Christmas Concert
Slightly outside of Brighton, near Lewes, the Glyndebourne Christmas Concert is a heartwarming festive concert for all the family. A mix of Opera and Classic Christmas Carols, it’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. With four dates to choose from, you can book your tickets here.
Wreath Making Workshop
Put a personal spin on your Christmas decs this year by making your own Christmas Wreath at BA i360. Floral designer, Gillie Fuller, will demonstrate how to make a wreath that you can hang up on your walls, front door or can be used as a table centrepiece. Gillie will chat about how to choose your seasonal flowers, colour pallets, and other ingredients you can use to create a stunning display. After a break, you will then choose your selection of flowers and foliage to create your wonderful wreaths. This 2 1/2 hour festive wreath-making workshop will take place on Friday 3rd December, tickets available to buy soon.
Sunday Roast in a Cozy Pub
Brighton is well known for its plethora of cozy and quirky pubs, in fact there are over 900 in the city. So finding a good spot to hunker down for a delicious roast and glass of red or ale is an easy task! Add to that, that Brighon is well known as a foodie city – the standard is high! Shopping in the North Laines
Wandering around Brighton’s North Laine area is a must-do for any visitor. This Bohemian quarter is filled with quirky independent shops, restaurants and cafes. At Christmas, the streets become pedestrianised at weekends and twinkly lights add to the magical atmosphere, as do the creative shop window displays. Here you’ll find everything from ethical fashion, beautiful children’s toys and clothes, comics and art. An afternoon spent here will have you ticking off your Christmas shopping list in no time!
