There are loads of quirky and insta-worthy things to see and do along Brighton’s seafront and it can be overwhelming on where to start. Here we have created the perfect day-out from morning to evening that will combine the best places to eat in Brighton, and jam-packed activities that will culminate in a fun day out in the city.
Things To Do In Brighton In The Morning
We recommend starting in Hove at Norton Road Car Park to fuel up for the day, and grabbing yourself a takeaway coffee (or an early ice cream) from Marrocco’s before setting off along the seafront. It’s a beautiful scenic walk with sea views and a shot of the iconic Brighton piers. Alternatively, you can rent Beryl Brighton bikes which are readily available and make for a quick journey to the centre.
Stop beside the famous Hove beach huts on the promenade for your first photo opportunity – the rainbow painted huts are particularly popular.
Your next Instagram worthy moment is on board the must-visit BA i360 glass viewing pod where you will be raised 138 metres high – surrounded by 360o views over the coast and the city. It’s the perfect way to start your day out in Brighton, with views of the whole city before descending to explore. Plus, 16 – 24-year-olds fly for just £10 with our Young Person ticket!
Best Places For Lunch
We recommend enjoying a selection of takeaway street food from the Beach Huts at beach level where you will find traditional seaside cuisine, offering something for everyone. Or take a seat at the i360 Café terrace located on our upper deck, one of the few elevated outdoor terraces on Brighton’s seafront – perfect for people watching.
What To Do In Brighton In The Afternoon
Under the iconic Brighton i360 viewing tower is Brighton’s newest must-do activity for teenagers in Brighton, Skate 360, an outdoor roller skating rink overlooking the seafront below. After hiring a pair of skates, you can spend 45 minutes perfecting your technique as you glide (or shuffle) over the multicoloured mural floor and take in the view.
Just next door to BA i360, you’ll find the Upside Down House – another Instagram opportunity in this unique and quirky venue.
Make your way along the seafront to Brighton Palace Pier to enjoy some of the adrenaline-fuelled rides at the end of the Pier. Teens also love the penny arcades or the dance games!
Then head to the Brighton Zip. Specially designed for Brighton, the 300m long zip line is the only one its size in the South. You can also take on the ride on the drop zone for a 24-metre freefall experience.
Walk along the seafront path from the Pier to Yellow Wave Beach Club. Book a beach volleyball court or simply enjoy a cold drink and watch the action! Alternatively, challenge the family to the Jungle Rumble Adventure golf course, featuring streams, waterfalls and bridges, this outdoor crazy golf is fun whatever your age.
Walk or cycle back towards BA i360, picking up a cuppa and a delicious snack from the Flour Pot Café, just to the east of BA i360. Enjoy on the beach – maybe take a dip if it’s warm enough!
Finish off the afternoon by challenging your kids to a game of footie or frisbee on Hove Lawns.

Grab a table or a takeaway pizza from Fatto a Mano, one of our favourite Brighton pizza restaurants to either enjoy back down on Hove Lawns, on the beach as the sun sets or in the gardens of nearby Adelaide Crescent.
