The experience

Take to the skies to see Brighton and the beautiful south coast as you have never seen them before. Glide up gently to 450ft in our futuristic glass viewing pod, which was conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, creators of the London Eye.

Admire 360-degree views across Brighton & Hove, the South Downs National Park, the UNESCO Biosphere and, on the clearest days, all the way along the coast to the Isle of Wight (49 miles away).

The pod

The glass viewing pod is fully enclosed and spacious – it’s 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule. There is room for up to 175 visitors to stand at the edge of the pod and look out, or to move around and see the view from different angles. The Sky Bar on board the pod serves Nyetimber sparkling wine and other drinks from Sussex, so you can raise a glass of something special while taking in the views.

Our friendly in-flight crew will welcome you on board, point out landmarks and answer any questions. The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure year-round comfort and it is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

A free viewing map is available and a multi-lingual app can be download before you board. The app has ‘pre-flight’ information about how British Airways i360 was built, as well as an in-app viewing map and a children’s section with fun facts and a treasure hunt. The content can be enjoyed in a choice of languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin.

At the end of your flight, the pod descends into the beach building.

The beach building

At the base of the tower is our beach building, with terraces opening straight out onto the promenade. Here you can enjoy delicious food at West Beach Bar & Kitchen, browse the shop to find stylish gifts inspired by British Airways i360 and the surrounding environment, visit our construction exhibition or host an event in our beachfront events spaces.

Our shop offers carefully selected well-designed gifts for adults and children that are both useful and beautiful.

You will find specially commissioned unique gifts, designed by local artists and our architects Marks Barfield, as well as global fair trade products. From keepsakes such as postcards and children’s toys to handy beach gear and local cookbooks – we have something for everyone!

There is so much to enjoy at British Airways i360 that we expect your visit to last around one hour (or longer if you are dining).
